Model: Tapo C402 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I would like to have an exclusion zone in the detection rules.  For example, I have a camera in my front yard pointed at a fence that is adjacent to the road so vehicles are always driving by.  Since the fence blocks a portion of the vehicle the vehicle detection doesn't work sometimes and detects it as generic motion.  I would like to be able to draw a box that is ignored/blocked/excluded from all detection. I have seen this in other cameras so it would be a nice feature to have in Tapo.

  @robbysmith

Hi,
The feature you requested appears to be the privacy zone feature. You can go to the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Privacy Zone page to add privacy zones on the camera's live view page, and all events within the privacy zones won't be detected.
Best Regards

Unfortunately, this is not exactly what I want.  I still want the marked area to be recorded but just ignored without motion detection notifications.  I tried out this privacy feature and it literally blacks out the area you select.

  @robbysmith Hi, based on your description, perhaps you can try adding multiple detection zones to exclude specific areas from detection zones.
