When at home and connected with the same WiFi as the camera, it works perfectly. 
When out of home, it only works when the app is opened.

Can you clarify the specific phenomenon? Are you referring to the inability to view the camera's live feed, or is it that the detection and recording functions are not working? Did the camera record any videos while you were away?
