Hi,

I am reaching out with a feature request regarding the Tapo H500 alarm system.

I recently ordered an H500 together with several cameras, but during installation planning I realized that there is currently no secure and independent way to arm and disarm the system using a keypad, PIN code, or RFID/tag solution.

At the moment, the available options appear to be the mobile app or smart buttons. While these methods work in many situations, they rely either on a phone or on simple physical triggers that do not provide sufficient security since anyone could press it to disarm the alarm. From a reliability and security perspective, I am looking for a dedicated authentication method such as a keypad or tag reader.

Because of this limitation, I am currently reconsidering my long-term use of the Tapo ecosystem, as secure access control is a key requirement for my installation. Without this functionality, I may need to look at alternative solutions that better address these security needs.

Does TP-Link have any compatible keypad/RFID products available or planned for the H500? If not, I would strongly like to submit this as a feature request for future development.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind regards,
Martin
