I bought a couple of SmartPlugs to try out with Stringify - principally because Stringify allows you to sequence items with delays. I want to have a device turn off a set time after I have turned it on.

Well, this does work - IF I turn it on using Stringify. But the SmartPlug is not able to signal the Stringify SmartPlug beta trigger if it is manually switched. By comparison, the Belkin Wemo will send a message to IFTTT when it is toggled manually, and you can use that to do other things. (But because IFTTT does not have delay mechanisms, this does not work for me)

I would be delighted if the Stringify Smartplug beta trigger could be updated to fire a message to stringify when it is triggered. Given the WeMo can do this, I can see no reason the SmartPlug could not.

I look forward to any response on this issue

with thanks - from Oz...
