If your TL-WA850RE is V2, you can setup it to be an access point. That will be perfect if you can find way to spoof the mac addresses.

Sooo weird. Did you have the same issue before? How about the situation when the PC wired to the modem? Try to take a hard reset and email tp-link support if reset can't help.
