Is the second extender connected to your router to the first extender? You may try setup different wifi names on the two extenders.

Do you mean the RE light? When it's red, that means the extender is still connected to the router, but too far away from the router. You may try put the extender a little close to your router.

Most extenders can only extend a normal wifi network without a login.
