@Stella.Q please explain how a device is damaged when power is restored? Afaik all switches bring back sudden power, it's only diesel generators that creates gradual increase of power as it spins up...

@Stella.Q this is no feature, implement the feature of a switch first and foremost, which is to turn on and off, no need to reinvent the wheel or try to become a circuit breaker. PLEASE FIX ASAP.
