Do I just connect the main (ATT) to the internet port of this TP LInk modem? How do I configure the TP modem then for passwords? Do I connect it independently first to configure password and how do I do it?

What's the model number of your router? There is wireless password already for the wireless connection, which is usually printed on the back of the router, or can be found on the info card. There is an installation guide in the box, it's quite easy to follow. Maybe read that first.

My tplink router repeater RC 300 will not hook to my att router.
