Hello everyone,
I am considering buying the SG1008P switch along with the EAP245 AP.

My question is, being that the switch has auto MDI/MDIX for the cabling. Does the AP also have to have auto MDI/MDIX ?

If not, which cable type (cross over or straight thru) do I need to place between the switch and the AP ?

I can't buy either until I have an answer to this question. I would like to buy today or tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for assistance.

The 1008P is an unmanaged switch support POE, the EAP225 support Power over Ethernet(802.3af).
So the 1008P will supply both power and data to the EAP 225 if they connect with each other.
For further info, I think contact SMB support would be a good option:
