As you may know by now, a researcher discovered a flaw in WPA2 encryption protocols a few months ago, and notified various security agencies and equipment providers to allow them roll out patches before a public release of information about the problem. The flaw has been named KRACK for "Key Reinstallation Attack." The info is now out. Vendors are rolling out fixes for the problem. Cisco and Netgear already have patches out for some of their routers, and are working on more. Windows has been patched, as has been OpenBSD Linux, and a patch is available for Debian Linux. Google has committed to releasing patches in the near future. So far, I have seen nothing from TP-Link about firmware patches for existing routers to protect them from the problem. When will this happen?
