I have an IP camera that the only way I can attach to my LAN is using wps (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). How do I cause the Deco M5 to look for my camera using wps?

So far, Deco M5 does NOT support WPS function. TP-link will improve it to support soon.
There is no other way to connect the wifi on your camera?
Generally speaking, there is web UI to guide you configure it.
