My TP-Link router was listed as one susceptible to this router malware.

Is this model vulnerable? Are there any newer firmware updates I should install?

According to this, your wireless router should be safe and has no risk.
About the FW version, you can have a look at here:
https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/TL-WR841N_V9.html#Firmware

There is one FW newer than yours, and you may try to update it.
