ethernet backhaul slower than wifi
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Deco M5 3-pack
Cable modem -> M5(A) -> switch -> M5(B) / M5(C)
I set up the M5's in three different rooms, originally connected via wifi. The house is wired with Cat5e, so I connected the 2nd and 3rd M5s by wire. SpeedTest shows ~60-70Mb/s when connected with wifi. Speed stays the same or DROPS by 10-20Mb/s when connected by wire.
Connecting a laptop directly to the room's ethernet jack (where the satellite M5 was connected) shows speeds around 60-70Mb/s. So, it's not the house wiring.
No Dlink switches; I'm using TP-Link switches.
Yes, my cable modem provider caps out at 70Mb/s down, 6Mb/s up.
Any thoughts?
