I just bought two HS220's and am ready to begin installation, however, I can't get the faceplate off and I'm afraid to force it.  What's the trick?

Thanks!

Honestly because they are snap-on faceplates a little bit of force is all that is needed.  Should you accidently break the plate taking it off just let us know and we can show you how to request a free part replacement.

OK, I have the same question. I am trying to force it off but you have not given us any real "trick" to do it. There are two tabs on the top and bottom and two on each side. I finally just pulled the top or bottom away from the switch while pressing into the switch with my thumb. I pulled really hard and it did pop off without breaking the tabs. I have been wasting a lot of time trying to pry it away from the tabs on the back side with no luck.

Hi, sorry for the delay we don't get notifcations of repsonses unless we are tagged so it took some time to review replied to post.  There is no trick to it.  It really is just an application of force on the faceplate.  If it breaks we will replace it.  Also any standard Faceplate that fits the plug can also be used.

I am having the same issue. What the heck? I can’t get this off the face plate. It isn’t budging. About ready to just return four of these switches. Any hint?
