The TL-MR3420 is not compatible with neither.

Compatibility list of Tether TP Link shows MR3420 ver 5 and my query is for ver 2

Looks like the list you are referencing has some devices that are not sold here in the US. However, if the compatible device is on the list then it should work, the hardware versions shows are the minium the device would need to be in order to work. If the version is lower then it will not work.
