Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.10 Build 20190517 rel.65170(5553)

I just set up the AC1750 for my home router this evening.  When my desktop workstation was plugged directly into the cable modem (Motorola MB7220) I was getting around 178Mbs.  When I configured the router and updated the firmware, I get around 74Mbs down on a wired connection.

 

I understand that there is some overhead going through the router, but 60% bandwidth loss seems excessive.  What can I do to address this?

You are right as there will be a lost in the speed due to a number of factors.

 

What you can do is to test every outlet possible as some outlets might perform better then others. Avoid using the powerline adapters with any power strips or surge protectors.
