My 5 ghz channel is routing this speed to all my wireless devices but the 2.4 ghz channel is not. The 2.4 ghz channel only transmits 2 to 3 mbps to my wireless devices. I wouldn't care, but I can only get 2.4 ghz in certain areas of my home and I'd like to get the proper speed. Any suggestions?
Go into the same room of the router and do a speed test. If the speeds are better then the distance where you need the 2.4GHz is likely too far due to walls or interference from other networks.
A range extender should help with that by placing it in the middle of where the router is and where you need signal. RE2220 is a affordable option, the RE305 or the RE450 would be good as well.
