Purchased a KC120 KASA HOME camera today. Once installed, push notifications on my iPhone will not work. When I go to setting in the KASA app for notifications I get an error of “Operation Failed. Please try again later.” My notification settings on my iPhone are allowed. I have tried to reset the camera, app, and made sure they are both updated. I need help tonight!!!!

@Kayleealyssaa to fix this you have to set the time zone. In Kasa App hit 3 bar menu then location and time. Once you select the time zone notifications will be able to be turned on without the error "operation failed".

peace,

@Kayleealyssaa

First step is to check if you can access the camera's live feed.  You will want to try to access it both locally on the same network and remotely.  This is to ensure cloud functionality is working.  If it is then try to add the notification settings locally, if you are not already.  Lastly try to add the settings manually rather then in the setup.  Once camera is configured access its live feed then click on settings.  Then click on Notifications and ensure the toggle is set.

Last thing to check would be Activity zones.  Notifications are only triggered in the activity zone (if setup)  If they are make sure the movement testing is in these zones, and with in the threshold.  For instance if you set the threshold at 5 seconds, motion will have to be longer than 5 seconds before recording or a notfication are triggered.

Hope this helps

@Robinsmedberg

Thanks Robin.  I have refered this up to the QA team to see if there are any possible server return issues.  I'll let you know as soon as I know.

@AnaLuDuarte

Hi Ana,

Are you activity zones set specifically to the baby's bed?  Also what are your notification and sensitivity settings set to?

@Robinsmedberg

There was an AWS server notification issue over the weekend.  We want to make sure this is not related.  Are you still experiancing this issue?

I am getting the same issue, which makes the camera useless as far as I am concerned. What is the resolution? Have tried all the steps outlined above. Not working on any of my devices, IPhone 6s or IPad, all on latest iOS release.
