Model: Deco M5  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.3 build 20190904 rel. 65172

today I upgrade m5 firmware to 1.3.3 build 20190904 rel. 65172. (fireware download form tplink support web, this is last one fireware.) but app show me other new fireware is 1.3.6 build 20190829 rel.56973. I can not find this version fireware in tplink web. and 1.3.3 date is last than 1.3.6. 1.3.3 rel number is bigger than 1.3.6 rel number.

 

my question is: should I upgrade this fireware(1.3.6) ? thanks you.

I updated my M5 set to 1.3.3. as well (V2.1 EU), but I don't see the 1.3.6. upgrade.

Looking at the build date and number I guess you should not upgrade.

Maybe it just patches some serious issues in 1.3.1 before adding new features in upcoming 1.3.6+ versions.

 

Can someone from TPLink please comment?

thank you. I think a long time and I do not use this firmwae.

 

I got a email form tplink support

but I don't believe this.

Here is what I know at least for US region only users. Version 1.3.6 was a beta release so it looks like that firmware is still being available. The latest release (v1.3.3) is the latest official release. 

 

So in other words, stay with version 1.3.3. Should a later version after 1.3.6 be released update to that.
