Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200109 rel.37084(5553)
I'm having a problem with the DFS channels. Some background: The router is in AP mode and I'm setting the channels at 80 MHz wide.

When I set the router to either channel 52-64 or 116-128, the router soon kicks itself off the DFS channel, goes to the 149-161 channel, and never returns. I thought it might be a problem with a local radar, but I don't have the same issue when I put my ax6000 on the same channels.

I highly doubt that there's an immediate fix other than "use another channel", but all the channels should be usable. Does anyone else have a similar issue? Is this a known issue that TP-Link is working on?

Are all other wirless settings left defaulted, it is just the width and the channel that is changed?

No, the width doesn't change, just the channel. I was just explaining that I set the width to 80MHz.

I think the other wireless settings are the default settings, but I'm not sure.

One default thing I changed was that I forced the channel on the AX3000 instead of leaving it on Auto.

I'm home, and a couple of things have changed. It turns out that channel 100-112 is having the same problem. So far the only 80MHz wide DFS channel that is stable is 132-144. And that may change after a few days. I'll know if the router changes it to one of the non-DFS channels without changing it back to channel 140 (see below).

Here are my current settings if it helps:

Mode - 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed

Channel Width - 80 MHz

Channel - 140(DFS)

Transmit Power - High

Airtime Fairness Feature - Disabled

Multi-User MIMO Feature - Enabled

Please tell me if you need any more information.

Not to be too much of a pain, but the firmware says it's for the AX50. I understand that the AX50 is similar to the AX3000 I have, but I just want to make sure that it's ok to load the AX50 firmware on my AX3000 router.

If you look at the sticker label below the router does the model number say AX3000 or AX50?

It says AX3000 on the bottom of the router and on the router's webpage.

Thanks, I will check if it can be used. I want to be sure so you don't end up bricking your router.

@natsbar

So the link for the AX50 should not be used.

Here is the link for the Archer AX3000 firmware: link

Note: This firmware is specifically for US region Archer AX3000 version 1

@Tony

I installed the Beta. I'll give it about a week before I report back. Now that I've installed the beta, I have two other bugs that I see the new beta doesn't fix.

1. Under System Tools, the AX3000 really needs a reboot schedule (just like the AX6000)

2. Under System Tools, the AX3000 really needs a LED control (just like the AX6000)

Can you send these requests to the developers?
