Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20190917 Rel. 71168

Just inquiring on when the P9 will receive a firnware update that will add more features.  I myself own the M5 (awesome setup with wired backhaul) and installed the P9 at a friend's much bigger/newer house because of the power line backhaul features (and manager it for him) and I am shocked at how the P9 is a newer system yet lacks so many options within the app that my much older M5 has.  I am specifically looking to see if the power line backhaul is working at all and it was said months ago that a FW update would bring this to the app and here I am still running one from September of 2019.

Thanks for any feedback.

@BurntPowder

From the new information I got the P9 will have a update where you will see what backhaul is being used.

Final release dates do change should something come up such as a major bug delaying the release or any other matter. However, we are hoping to have the new update out soon in the coming months.

@Tony Need N update soon.  I installed new P9 yesterday, I have at&t gigabit internet.  When connecting directly to deco via ethernet only getting 500mb, when I do the same with the at&t Gateway (BGW210-700) I get 950mb.  Also, my main deco is upsatirs by the deco and their on wifi I only get wifi speeds of 60 to 120mb, downstairs I only get 300.

We also need access to a router page and be ablt to split 2.4 and 5.

@BurntPowder

There is currently no update available.

The web GUI will work similar as the M5.

Here is what you would expect, you won't have control like a typical router:

If you are looking for total control of wireless networks, a router can do that not the Decos. Only workaround in using a Deco is to use the Guest network and enable one band.

@BurntPowder How did you even get 1.0.2? The P9 system I recently installed only has 1.0.1 from July 2019, and when I try to update it with the phone app, it just tells me I'm "up-to-date".

@Anthony2816

The solution is to return it, like I'm doing.

@P9BetaTester But I'm actually pretty happy with the P9 mesh. I mean, there's no way to tell if the powerline backhaul is working, but I'm getting max speed wifi over my entire 3700 sq ft house...and with the addition of an M5 unit, the garage and back yard...so I guess it's working.

@BurntPowder Humph. I just purchased mine from Amazon earlier this month, and it came with the July 2019 1.0.1 firmware, which won't update. Guess I got some old stock.
