Help Setting up home network.  
 

current Products 

modem with with 4 lan port

linksys Ea7500 route

deco M4 wireless mesh

tp-link 24 port switch

patch panel

network rack

 

just need to know the right configurations.  Current plan For three-story house 


In basement (1st floor)

modem (turnoff WiFi) 

hard wired to 

Linksys route (turn off WiFi)

hard wired to 

1 deco mesh tower

wired to

tp- link switch

wired to 

patch panel

wired to

Second and third floors 

2nd floor - deco m4 mesh tower to patch panel

3rd floor - deco m4 mesh tower to patch panel

I think that setup is good. If you have devices relying on ports you will prob need to do double port fowarding or triple since you would have three firewalls. If you notice any speed issues, you could try setting up the Deco in AP mode which the Linksys will now be the router for devices behind it.
