Deco M5 running with insecure WPA
Brand new Deco M5. My wifi scanner reports that the Deco is running only WPA security. This is really old technology. How do I enable higher security?
My scanner also says that the 2.4 Ghz band is using a 40 Mhz channel, which is much too wide for this band. Is there any way to change this?
Thank you.

The Deco uses WPA/WPA2-PSK/TIKP, which is not adjustable nor is the width settings. With the Deco units you can disable one band or the other, but you do not have access to advanced features like you would a router such as the Archer C4000.

Could you explain what it means that it runs " WPA/WPA2-PSK/TIKP "? For example, from my Windows 10 laptop, what security level will be used?
The scanner I use says the router is vulnerable because it uses WPA. But it isn't clear to me if that just means the router could connect with WPA or that I am currently connect with WPA.
Thank you again.

My Windows10 machine says the wireless network is using WPA2-personal, but my macbook shows an alert it's only using WPA, so which is it?

Using Acrylic WIFI scanner on my laptop, I show all five DECOs are running WPA2 PSK-CCMP on both 2.5 and 5.0 Mhz.
Note that there will be no security on the Guest channels if you have enabled them.
