Deco M9 Plus Firmware Update
Deco M9 Plus Firmware Update
When is the next firmware update for the Deco M9 Plus (V2) going to be made available via the In-App update?
I have a nearly brand new V2 but can't update to the most recent firmware (published 21 Feb 2020 w/wifi stability and bug fixes) because I can't access the Web Controls because I don't have the most recent firmware. I understand the 21 Feb update supposedly wasn't too significant from reading other posts; however, because it didn't push out via the App, I can't use the Web Controls for my router, which stops me from having more indepth controls than offered in the simple App interface. For example, I can't fix the time zone issue that's causing my kids' bed times to trigger 5 hours ahead of their actual scheduled time.
Previous rumors had a V2 update being pushed "in March 2020." I understand that probably got affected by COVID-19 responses so I'm sympathetic to a delay. But I would like to know when TP-Link will let me have my device's full functionality (and when I can expect the device to get the same smart home capabilities as the older M5).
Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this is the same issue, but I wanted to update the router's time zone, but was uable to access the admin website. Spent almost three hours with live chat support when we both decided to give up. Can you advise what you did to fix the probem?

@AndresI Sorry, but I can't offer any advice/solution. The issue resolved shortly after TP-Link supposedly pushed an update to their servers. I never did get access to the admin pages and I'm still waiting for the elusive Deco M9 Plus firmware update to get the system up to the capabilities provided to the M5s last summer.

@42K1D the firmware thing is still an issue months later. I'm currently stuck at 20191014 release because the app won't recognize the outdated FW. Chat support had the gall to recommend logging into the unavailable web portal to perform the update.
Perhaps somebody like @Tony can work some magic with the right connections. ??

Acorrding to TP-Link, you need to manual update your firmware and next online update will be available.
You can use this Utility to update firmware from the computer, a new firmware can also download from here.
I have an issue using hardwired for this update, it doesnt regconize UserID and password, may be because I have a switch between computer and my Deco. Anyway, using wireless connection seems to be fine.
Good luck!
