AX11000 Link Aggregation with QNAP NAS
I recently replaced an older Netgear router with the AX11000 and have used link aggreagation with a QNAP NAS for several years. I am unable to detemrine the correct settings in order properly connect the AX11000 and QNAP. I have read the very limited material on the TP-Link website, which is not device specific and tried mulitple settings on the QNAP to enable connectivity to the router. I understand the AX11000 can only handle level 2 (mac) but thats about all I can find. I have used both LACP and Balanced-alb/tlb. LACP settings gets me close but I am getting IP address errors. Is there some documentation or details that explains more about the settings used for Link Aggregation in general on the router or specific for use with QNAP? TIA, Todd

I am just not a fan of buying something like this and holding onto it until a manufacturer fixes the problem, as it may never happen. Consideing their support does not even know what link aggregation is, they won't respond to emails and don't reply wen they say they will, I'm starting to think this is a dead end. I'm looking at competitive models

So I've sent 8 emails and waited through 3 online sessions with technical support (on two of them, they didn't even know what link aggregation was), and there's no help at all. I am going to check out the new Mesh system from ubiquiti.
I am happy with the WIfi perofmrance and the wired lan performance, but find it odd that they can't even reply to a definiciency such as this, and the fact that my Asus AC router that I got many years ago gets more FW updates than this thing.

They sent me a beta release, it did nothing to help the problem. I think they are just throwing stuff over without any testing or knolwedge of the issue.

TPLink senior support confirms that this router doesn't support LACP, only Static LAG, which is obviously not preferred. And that only worked with the beta release. So this router will not support LACP, which is disappointing. I have setup static LAG on my switch and will monitor the ports to see if it's actually working.

I have the same issue on AX3000/AX50.
I think this LAG functionality is like a shxt !
it's tasteless to eat but waste to throw away ...
the marketing let customer to trust beautiful dream , but tplink is like a lier.
damn it all, I have 4 kinds of tplink products, every each time I buy then get a bad experiment.
when I told me, trust again ... AX50 is so cheap and can make your deam come true..
I pay and get this product.....but.....
I don't wanna trust tplink any more.

That is no any help ...
I have the same issue on AX50 product.
it just support static LAG and notice that - 'balance-xor'
I try it and set my managed switch lan port to static group (passive) ,
when connect Lan3 , all device and reach but bad performace about 20-30mb/s,
connect lan3 & lan4 , all device can't reach...(use Ping to every device) util disconnect lan3 or lan4 from switch hub ...
damn it all
this product as like as

I just got an AX11000 for a review purposes and I cannot get the Link Aggregation to work with Synology DS1019+ NAS. 802.3ad definitely does not work. I cannot reach Synology after turning the AX11000's Link Aggregation on, even when I created a completely new Network Bond on DS1019+ for 2x1GBit.
Did anyone find a solution?
NAS is connected with 2x 1GBit to AX11000 to correct ports (LAN2-3). NAS shows the bond (2x 1Gbit) working fine. I can see this when I DISABLE the Link Aggregation from the AX11000. As soon as I turn the link aggregation on from AX11000, I cannot connect to the NAS at all. This is a core feature for a device in this price category. You definitely want to up your LAN speed to 1Gbit to 2Gbit to serve multiple devices in the LAN from the NAS.
I had no issues with Asus RT-AC88U-router. This certainly does not bode well for a 400€ device like AX11000.

@Fex Not that this helps, but I use a Netgear switch (Netgear GS110TP) to handle the Link Aggregation to my QNAP NAS (TS-253A). I too had an ASUS router (RT-AC3200) that I was using prior to the TP-Link - however, that router did not support LAG and necessitated the need to use the aforementioned switch. When I switched over to the TP-Link - I tried to eschew the Netgear and run everything through the TP-Link (AX11000).... yeah..., suffice it to say that I spent quite a few days getting my network back up and running with the switch, TP-Link, and NAS (to be honest, I did try to use IPV6 somewhere in there and that really FUBAR'd some things up as well...).
I am having my own issues with FTP Port Forwarding not working between my NAS and the AX11000 from an external network (but worked just fine when I used my ASUS router...)
