I bought a new portable HDD 2tb Seagate.

 

before this, I'm using a WD HDD 320gb only. it was working fine with my router. no problem at all - no loss connection or failure when played file video through Samsung TV.

 

then I decided to buy a bigger size due to insufficient space.

 

it was working as expected first two days with minimal capacity in the HDD not more than 300gb of file. ( MOVIE)

 

then I started to upload more file on HDD till nearly 1TB.

 

on 3rd day I played as usual on Samsung TV via Archer C3150 as a media server.

 

after a few mins. the Router became blank - not functioning and disconnected.

 

I have to reboot the system to make work again. then the same problem occurs again and again.

 

how can i fix this?

If you swap back to your 320GB drive does the router still do the same thing?

hi, I sold my 320gb already. but I reduce my file till below 320gb ( for 2gb Seagate portable HDD). actually around 280gb of file. and it worked fine. 

 

I would like to add more file in HDD portable due to I have so many movies in my HDD desktop. (not enough space). that's why I bought the 2gb HDD portable to enjoy watch at my tv Samsung via archer 3150 as hub media server.
