Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

ISP 1000 Mbps. Deco M5 wifi from Deco feature "Test Internet Speed" always <600 Mbps. Deco M5 Speedtest.net via Ethernet port around 800-900 Mbps.
Speedtest.net via Ethernet directly at modem always 800-900 Mbps. Set up as Access point. From Modem, each ethernet port goes directly to each Deco M5 via cat6 LAN cable.

LED on each Deco is stable green. In Deco app, each slave shows "<--> Ethernet".

Please suggest how to make it faster.

Appreciate every comment.

@VaroonV

Using a website to test the speed is the correct way, the Deco speed test has shown in the past to be slower then what it actually provides. This is why the app will show half while when you actually test the speed it is higher.

If anything, make sure your QoS shows the total download and upload speed is 1000 Mbps and not half.

Thank you for your reply. I believe I cannot use QoS feature if I set up my Deco as Access Point. Any work around?

@VaroonV

Just to clarify only the app speed test is showing 600 Mbps, but every other test you actually do with the Deco is 800 to 900 Mbps?

@Tony Deco App speed test is 600 Mbps. The other tests on Ethernet port either directly to modem or to Deco got 800-900 Mbps.

I also tested the wifi signal using my iphone XS max and my notebooks but I think they are not doing Deco justice. The devices probably are the bottleneck themselves.
