Does the login interface say TP-Link?
If it is the TP-Link login page, I would factory reset the router by holding the reset for 15 seconds. Even though you just got the router it may have been previously configured and returned to the seller.
If the login page does not say TP-Link and something like DD-WRT, then someone uploaded third party firmware into the router when they had it.
