Model: Archer C4000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20190827 rel.78773(4555)

As offered by TP-Link is  (1625 Mbps on both 5G bands and 750Mbps on 2.4G band) but the Fact is am not getting half of it, not sure TP-Link sharing fake Advertisement.

Single device connected, in >1.5meter from the router

5GHz -1

when I run the router in a manual configuration which I figured out the 5GHz -1 Wifi is giving max at 561.1 Mbps, when I reset my router and this speed is achieved after that it will go back to 350-400 Mbps

I connected with customer care twice and then guide me through settings and I get 350-450mbps max.

Comment: Best performer but not even close to half of advertisement.

5GHz -2

my Configuration 160-250 Mbps Max

Suggested Configuration by Customer care - 100- 200 Mbps Max

Comment: Waste...!

2.4GHz

my Configuration 60-150 Mbps Max

Suggested Configuration by Customer care - 50- 120 Mbps Max

Comment : Since for old devices, it does the job. still not up to the expectation..!

The highlight of Smart Connect

Full Auto -> Max Speed am getting was sadly >100 Mbps

I should have buy a small router instead of this, if I am getting less than 100Mbps in Smart Connect not sure this is my specific router issue or all C4000 have this particular issue..!

Adding an image that I get max speed average speed I get in smart connect.

@Tony Hi Tony my current internet speed is 250Mbps.

But I was talking about Wifi Connection, correct me if I am wrong because my traffic is inside the LAN like transferring file between systems, etc...

@DON_PAUL

I see, so the internal link speed is what is being referred too.

Other then the Apple computer, if you connected other devices, say your smartphone are you seeing the exact link speeds and with other wireless devices?

@DON_PAUL

It appears you are looking at the device LINK speed. 866Mbps is usually an AC devices 'connect' speed. Actual working speed should and would be different. One was to see if you got 'what' you should would be to go to https://www.speedtest.net/ and test the device speed.

Might want to look at this too, https://www.lifewire.com/how-fast-is-a-wifi-network-816543

@Tony

Why can't I now post actual links using the 'link' bar on the menu bar of compositions? Used to be able to do this? Now get this:

@Tony

Understand. However, if your forum s/w would allow it, couldn't you put new members that join on preview? Other forums it seems can do this. If you can't, look for new forum s/w

EDIT: Have you also turned off NOTICES? I've stopped getting those it seems?

@DON_PAUL I have the same problem with Archer C4000. My ATT service is 1000 Mbs. Well, it's never goes to 1000 :). However, with ATT WiFi or wired connection it gets up to ~400-420 Mbs. When I connect Archer C4000 via Cat5e the top speed I am getting is 90-98 Mbs at both wired or WiFi. On the router menu it says ...negotiated speed 100 Mbs. I've contacted TPLink with this issue, but it looks like there is no solution...
