Hi All,

Having a weird issue when using my Ring cameras with the MR600 (connected to EE 4G).

When opening live view there is a static noise every 8 seconds. I've narrowed it down to the router from the troubleshooting I've done.

Any ideas on what may be causing this and how I can fix it?

Troubleshooting includes;

  • Tethering camera and phone to personal hotspot - NO static noise
  • Using sim from previously mentioned hotspot in router - IS static noise
  • Using manual channel (1) in WiFi settings
  • Using 2.4 GHz network

@F1N1

I would recommend getting a hold of your local TP-Link support team here: link

Usually static is due to a bad mic but in your case, it is the network. If there are other devices connected to the router try changing your network name so only the camera is connected to see if other devices may be interfering with the connection.

I've opened a case with support.

I tried with no other devices connected and still had the issue.

Also with a dlink router and tp-link MR200 and did not have this problem.

Thanks.

@F1N1 I'd like to fallow this tread because I have exactly the same problem as you do.

I use my camera in my kids room, and I can't even watch the live view without wake him up.

Did you get any more answe on this problem?

Hi @Hallenko

Unfortunately I was not able to get this resolved.

I opened a case with tp-link support and they were unable to identify the cause. Their suggestion was to return the router and purchase another model.

I tried with a new MR600 and had the same issue.
