Your phone may not be moving over to the closer node. Go to the original area and disable your Wi-Fi and turn it back on.

Look at the Deco nodes to make sure both are green. If the remote node is red, move it closer to the main node.

The suggested coverage does not reflect every environment. Your area may have walls, doors, etc. that degrade the signal so you may need more than two nodes.
