Model: EAP245
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Considering this to extend my home network. What I'd like to do is use Ethernet to connect the 245 to my main router/modem (AT&T U-Verse) through a wall, and then use the second Ethernet port on the 245 to create a wired connection to my bedroom TV, as well as using it as a wireless access point for that part of the house. Is that something I can use the second port to do? I just want to be sure I'm understanding the port functions correctly before I buy.

Thanks!

@JoshK  - Yes the second port would act just as any LAN port once you have the EAP245 connected via the first port which is POE.  Since it's connected to your router, it will be an AP providing wireless as well.

Sorry, one more question - this is a ceiling mount AP. I don't want or need to do that; I just want to set it on a tabletop. Any potential issues with that? Should I be looking at an AP specifically designed to be at tabletop level?
