Model: TL-WR841N
Hardware Version: V9
Firmware Version: 3.16.9 Build 150401 Rel.58806n

My router resets itself to factory settings every night and occasionally during the day.  I am making no changes to it and the reset occurs when I'm not on the computer.  It started doing this about 3 months ago after I changed my TP-Link modem out for an Arris Surfboard.  Also, it is set to connect automatically and does not.  Any suggestions for a fix or for a new brand of router?  Thank you.

@jawjahgal

Check the power supply on the adapter to make sure it is the correct one for the router. If there is another outlet available, use that.

Another recommendation is to factory default the router, and leave it in the defaulted state.

Thank you.  It's the same power supply that's been there since I installed the router.  It's secure and the default only happens when nobody is in the room.

Default settings won't work.  I have to be able to select channel, etc. This is something I've learned from experience with this router.

@jawjahgal

I would recommend reaching out to your local TP-Link support team as it may have a defect.

Thank you.  I've already done that.
