The quicklaunch and manual are both pretty ascertive that the antennas just be extended vertically, but I've placed the unit in the downstairs. Won't I get better coverage upstairs if I tilt a couple of the antennas? Thanks for your feedback.
With the antenna facing upwards like all the stock photos show, the signal is broadcasted in a horizontal doughnut manner.
So what you can try to do to get better coverage above or below, is to put the antenna flat. Now, given the way the antennas are on the C4000 you can try to leave some flat against the body or some at a 45-degree angle inward.
