My devices connect to certain units
I'm really enjoying the three-piece M9 Deco plus mesh network I have set up in my home I do have a curious question though because there are at least three devices in my house that seem to be connected to the furthest deco unit with the weakest single and I can't seem to find a way to force it to connect to the closest unit that happens to be in the same room with the best signal--any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried turning off the Wi-Fi and enabling it? Generally, the device should connect to the closest AP unit.
If the devices are computers you can look at the adapter properties to see if you have an option to set how it roams, which you would set it to high or highest:
