The Deco uses WPA2/WPA-AES/TKIP mixed. You should be able to see what method you are using by looking at the connection properties of your device.

We need more secure WPA2(AES) security at minimum. Hope tp-link will address this in a future update.

@jrbnc Just updated my deco M5 to the lastest firmware and went to the wifi section and I don't see the option to change the security type I have the deco x60 as the main router and the M5 unit in the bedroom. Would appreciate the help.

@KevinV I actually just updated as well and I found it by clicking on the WiFi password option and it's in there to change the security.

@Oswhite I have the x60 deco as my main router and the m5 in the bedroom I don't see it in the app when I click on the wifi section
