Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.5 Build 20191112 rel.36515(5553)

Hello. I bought this router (Archer C6 US) back in March 2020 and since then I've been facing this issue where devices connected to the 2.4 Ghz wifi would loose connection while 5 Ghz wifi faces no issues at all. When this happens, the SSID of 2.4 Ghz wifi is visible on client devices but the devices are unable to connect to it. All devices are relatively new and include cellphones and laptops. Connection is lost on all devices at the same time. This happens multiple times a day.

I have already tried resetting the router, reinstalling the firmware and downgrading the firmware to an older version but nothing seems to fix the issue. I have also tried the things mentioned here:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/200588

A temporary fix is to either restart the router or just restart the wifi (on the router). Are you guys planning to release a new firmware to fix this issue like you have done for the EU version of the same router model? Is there a beta driver available for testing?

@Muni

Please download and install this beta firmware:

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202008/20200813/ArcherA6v2_us_tw_c6us-up-ver1-1-17-P1%5b20200810-rel51331%5d.zip

That is for the Archer C6 v2 (US) model.

@Tony

Thank you Tony. This is much appreciated. Can you please confirm whether installing a beta firmware void the warranty?

I will install this immediately after your response.

@Tony

Hello Tony. So I installed the beta firmware and it has the same issue. After ~28 hours all 2.4 Ghz devices disconnected. On the devices the error shown was "connected, no internet". I checked the internet on my PC (connected through Ethernet) and it was working fine.

@Deepanshur20

Hello. If you look at the name of the linked file it says Archer A6. Also Archer A6 and C6 are same devices marketed to different countries/markets.

@Tony

Update: Again all devices disconnected after ~ 27-28 hours. Unlike the randomness of the stable firmware (version 1.1.5), the disconnect times appears to be fixed.

@Tony  I hv a Archer A6 US v2

In the QOS page, once QOS enabled, I don't see Real time Rate statistics for download, it is always 0KB/s

For the upload i do see varying speeds

On the contrary i had Archer C60 just a week back and I was able to see both the speeds on same ISP so it is surely an issue with the router firmware

Is this is a known issue with Archer A6?

Also any resolution you can offer, I've tried the firmware 1.1.6 & 1.1.7(Beta) but no luck on both
