Tether app no device found after firmware update on archer2300
Tether app no device found after firmware update on archer2300
I have just update the firmware of my archer C2300 router and now the tether app is not showing the clients connected to the router anymore.
The webpage shows the clients no problem.
There is also a strange error message when I start the app, "connection timed out".
But I am able to navigate all the pages no problem.
The app was working fine before the firmware update.
Any idea on how I can resolve the problem?
Thanks

Hi Everyone.
So the engineers looked into this and what they said is the phenomena is related to an incompatibility between the old configuration file and the newest firmware. What will resolve the issue is a hard reset of the router and a manual reconfiguration. You can use the same SSIDs and Passwords but you should not use a config file to restore the settings. If this does not resolve the concern for any of you let me know.

@Carl8828 Same here...no response from TP-Link!
Even if it is not affecting the router's performance, I was kinda expecting a quick fix from the TP-Link team.
