Hey everybody -

I just purchased an AC4000 to upgrade from the Airport Express I had been using.  I originally set it up as an access point, but then realized I wouldn't be able to use the QoS and other features, so I switched it over to wireless router mode, and that's where things got interesting.

My setup: ISP is Centurylink DSL; the DSL line goes into my network closest into a Zyxel C1100Z modem.  The LAN/WAN port of the modem goes to Trendnet TEGS80g unmanaged switch.  The various wired connections in my house go into a patch panel that then also connects to the TEGS80g.  The AC4000 is connected via its "internet" labeled port to a wall jack in a different room that then connects to the switch.

When I first set it up in wireless router mode, i made no changes to the modem, and my wired and wireless devices all worked, except I had two separate networks; the modem was providing 192.168.0.x addresses, the AC4000 192.168.1.x.  I then set the modem to transparent bridge mode, and this is the point where I lost all of my wired connections.  The AC4000 was providing 192.168.0.x addresses (with the AC4000 as 192.168.0.1, the same address the modem had been at)

Is this a cabling issue (i'll only get wired connections if I actually plug into the ethernet jacks of the AC4000), is this a DHCP range issue (i need to set the AC4000 DHCP range to something different than the router), or was I being an idiot and just needed to powercycle every wired connection?  I did DHCP renew a wired device and it didn't pull a new ethernet address in the correct range.
