Due to difficulty of rewiring adapter to router, can I use the adapter I have been using with my AC 1750 (2.5A output) for my new AC2600 (its adapter is 1.5A)? I think that providing MORE amps is not a problem as  electronics only take what they need. Thank you

It should work, but I would caution doing that as using a different power supply other than it's original may be an issue with respect to warranty should the router fail.
