Model: Deco P9  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20200812 Rel. 46656

  The link https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-p9/#Firmware shows the latest version to be 1.1.0 Build 20200513 Rel. 52023, and I installed 1.1.1 Build 20200812 Rel. 46656 yesterday after the IOS app told me there was an update.

 

  Was the new version accidentally release early and I should I not have updated, or was the web site not updated properly?

The team that deals with the app firmware and site firmware is actually different so you may see instances where one is available and the other is not. You would tyipcally see the website updated with the latest firmware at the end of the week (Friday).
