Model: Deco S4

Hardware Version:

Firmware Version: 1.4.3 Build 202000918 Rel 77820

Upgraded Xfinity service from 175Mbps to 1000Mbps (download).

After upgrade I get up to about 550Mpbs when hardwired to Arris T25 modem. Wireless through Deco S4 the speed is inconsistent varying from 10Mpbs to max 200Mpbs when lucky. This measured on an iphone about 1 foot away from the first Deco S4. Ping is 13ms.

The upload speed is consistently around 35Mpbs.

I've confirmed with Xfinity that the modem is provisioned correctly and has the right MAC id.

Any suggestions how to get better performance?

In doing the test you may be on the 2.4G, disable the 2.4G so you are on the 5G network, and perform the test again. Make sure to try other wireless devices as well.

Also, measure the speed while being wired directly to the Decos second port to see what speed it is getting.
