Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Version 1.20

Good Afternoon (GMT +8, MYT),

First of all, I do enjoy this model from TP-Link. I would like to seek information from TP-Link team regarding the future firmware release for the model, Archer AX20 Version 1.20. The current firmware issued for this model is Archer AX20(US)_V1.20_200326, which released back on 9th of April, 2020. Get back to the purpose of creation of this thread, if there any new feature will be implemented in the future for this particular model?

Regards.

Hi Brother @Tony;

First of all, thanking you for the prompt reply. Much appreciated. I do realize that TP-Link giving more importance towards Deco series, which is good from a consumer point of view. However, I would like to ask if the new AX standalone router series ranging from the bottom to the top will get the attention of frequent firmware updates, just like the Deco series?

EDIT: OneMesh feature will be implemented for all versions of Archer AX20, say Version 1 and Version 1.20 or will be implemented in the future version release, eg. Version 2?

Regards,

Hi @Tony

Is hardware version 1.2 part of the plan for Onemesh update too?

@Muteki

@heeheelim

Our AX routers are a new series so I would expect continued updates. Only if a router has been designated as EoL (End of Life or no longer being manufactured) then I'd expect updates in regards to security patches.

From the information I got, all versions were planned (not a guarantee), so far v1 has been released.
