When will AX20 v1.2 support OneMesh?

The wait was too long...

I have purchased RE605X together for building a mesh network...

Please provide firmware availability date.

@Cary

There currently is no determined date.

Should new firmware be available you should be notified via the Tether app or when logging into the router.

@Tony

The website has changed from planned to "support to be released", can you comment what, if anything, this means?

I completely agree, I've been waiting for this update way to long. There are numerous new routers with other companies rated at ax1800 with "easymesh" certification for less than what I bought this router for. I'm think it's about time to cut my losses and invest elsewhere.

@Nessman

From the information I got, it reflects that the release will be happening soon for v1.2 should no major issues come up.

@Cary

I installed the ax1800 firmware update recently,

and regret it because it made our home Apple Airplay network,

2x A1264 Airport Express units,

have really annoying silences during playback- at least every minute.

The original FW was rock-solid for Airplay,

although we are playing holiday music more often now

I have tried many settings changes (QOS was the first), and

reboots all around, but nothing seems to fix it for very long.

When my stuck-at-home son finishes up his fall semester,

I would like to revert to the original firmware;

but I seem to recall a warning before installing the update

that "You can't go back".

 I never did get Airplay to work without “dropouts” thru

the main AX1800 wifi network in our house,
even after reading the ideas in hometheaterhifi.com article
"Optimize Your WiFi Network to Stream Music Over AirPlay".
Since wifi was not working for airplay, I decided to try staying away from
the main AX1800 wifi, hooking up one A1264 to an AX1800 ethernet port.
We had an unused ethernet jack not far from these speakers,
and plenty of unused long cables.
The computer running iTunes with our collection always had been connected by ethernet.
I turned on AX1800 QOS for this A1264 ethernet device,
and it is now rock-solid for Airplay,
and it is setup to "Create a wifi network" with a unique name, in the 2.4GHz band,
that is used only by the second A1264,
since I noticed that the AX1800 was exclusively using the 5GHz band,
which remains configured as Wireless-> "Join a Wireless Network”,
so it is more portable and can be moved to many places in the house.
This portable wifi A1264 still has rare dropouts, but far fewer than
the every few seconds when using the main house wifi.
The portable wifi A1264 basestation/airplay name still shows up on the
AX1800 client list and QOS list- it must recognize the mac address,
so you can turn on QOS for it as well!
