Hello,

 

I just purchased a EAP225 for the Living Room and EAP225-Wall for Basement.

They are both plugged in to same switch but I am trying to make sure I can roam from Living Room, which is upstairs, to Basement.

Do I give both EAP's the same SSID and Password?

 

Also on each EAP do I set the SSID and EAP for 2.4 and 5Ghz to the same?

If you want one network to connect then, then yes you would set them all to the same SSID. The roaming aspect will depend on your device itself so you may not get the desired results. 

 

I would probably make the 2.4G and 5G names different so you know exactly what you are connecting to. However, in your case make all the network names the same, and see how your devices respond, they make work fine like that. If you notice the signal being weak or if you are getting constant drops while it switched to another network, make all the names different to force the device to stay connected to a particular device/network.
