Hello everyone. I am hoping someone else has run into the same issue and will be able to point /guide me through a solution. I recently bought the M9plus refurbished unit and set it up. All the 3 units i received were at firmware version -1.2.3 Build 20180828 Rel. 00000. after the setup, I was prompted to upgrade to 1.4.3 Build 20200918 Rel. 75286 and 2 out of the 3 successfully upgraded. The third one, however, goes through the entire upgrade process and continues to remain on the older version. Please see below snapshot of what i have..

I have tried manual download and upload of firmware via the site, upgrade via internet from browser, upgrade via app and even making this remote unit as the primary and only unit with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have 1.2.3 you would want to update to 1.4.0, then update to the latest. I think if you upload 1.4.0 (https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200608/Deco%20M9%20Plus_V1_200324.zip) that would downgrade all the nodes to 1.4.0. 

 

Factory reset the 1.2.3 by pressing the reset for one second, then add it back into the Deco system to see if it is then able to be updated.

 

If that does not work, set the 1.2.3 Deco as the main Deco, power down the other nodes, then access it via the web GUI, and upload 1.4.0 here: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200608/Deco%20M9%20Plus_V1_200324.zip

 

Extract the file, and upload the .bin file, once at 1.4.0 update to 1.4.3 using the app. After, power on the other nodes.

@Tony  Hello Tony -  I had already tried all the options you mentioned but with the 1.4.3 version. Based on your suggestion, i did try the steps with 1.4.0 version but was not successful in upgrading the one unit that have had issues with.
