Hello

I have an AX3000 that I have had for about 2 weeks.  With my ISP I was getting 120Mbps down and 11Mbps up.  This is both wired and wireless.  Earlier this week I was having severe Wireless degradation getting only 7 getting wireless.  Wired was fine.  I had not made any configuration changes prior to experiencing the issue. Tried rebooting, unplugging, etc.  Ended up having to restore to factory.  That took care of it. 

For grins and giggles  I manually reloaded the latest firmware.  

 

Looking at the system log I am seeing constan INFO level messages regaring the Led Controller switching on and off a few times a second. Tried to clear the log but it wont.  Turned off the LEDs but am still getting the messages in the log. 

 

Do I have a bad unit?   Here are some of the entries in the log.

I don't think think the RESET actually takes you back to factory but basically removes all settings.

 

This is what my router manual says for the back button and I assume it is the same for all routers?

 

Reset Button - Press this button for more than 5 seconds to reset the router to its factory
default settings.

 

It will not change the f/w.

 

I suggest doing the RESET again, and then power off and on. Now before restoring your settings check the log and see if it is still happening. If it is I'd try the reload of the f/w and reset again and check the log. Still happening, contact Support.

 

If not, reload your settings, and check the log. If still happening, well, the settings file could be the problem. In that case, do the reset again and MANUALLY enter your settings. Should solve the problem.

Thank you. I did do the reset again and have been monitoring the log. So far so good.

I have finally figured out what these log entries are from.  

I have my home PC and my work PC hardwired to the router.  When neither of these are active, the lan LED will intermittently flash and go dark.  I believe these end up in the log.  When either of my hard wired PCs are active, this doesn't happen.  

 

Is there a way to keep these from filling up the log?

I'd suggest adding a cheap gigabit 4-port switch in between the AX3000 and your devices. That said, those entries should cause a crash...
