I just set up my DECO Mesh system and it works great - love it but I still have a weak spot out by my patio set outside.  I'm wondering if I can use my existing ASUS router (if I configure it to work in AP mode - not router mode) to extend network coverage to that area.  Thoughts?

That would work.

You can make the network name the same or different. Just note, having the ASUS the same name of your Deco does not mean you still have a mesh network. It will come down to the device itself on how it will jump from the nearby Deco node to the ASUS and vice versa.

Thx Tony!  I'll make sure the name is unique and give it a shot. Cheers!

Adding a third party access point to the mesh Network won't disable the mesh aspect right? The mesh network will exist...

Right, the Deco system will still work normally, if the AP has the same name or not.
