Do TP-Link routers support looking up the hostname of clients registered with the router's DHCP server?

Mainly, I want to connect a device over WiFi with DHCP address and then ping the device using its hostname from a different device and without knowing its IP Address; looking for attached devices using the router interface; or registering it ahead of time with the router.

This would mainly be used with a raspberrypi, but also other devices as well.

Edit:  It would be good to include the router(s) which support this.  If you know of an RFC or formal name which defines this feature, please include.  Thanks!

No, it does not, being able to ping the hostname would depend on the devices themselves being able to. For example, due to the LLMNR protocol two windows computers would be able to do that to each other.
