Model: Archer A7
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20201120 rel. 50399

I have Owned an Archer A7 for less than Six months. Throughout the entire life of the router, it loses connectivity at least twice a week and requires me to factory restore and reset up in order to gain wireless internet access. Does this happen to anyone else? Anyone have any suggestions? The A7 is run as a 2nd router connected to the Xfinity X1 router. We pay for  gigabit speeds but a speed test produced download speeds of 42.9 mbps and upload of 41.1.

@Skottfree

When the A7 internet goes out does the Xfinity still work fine?

If so, I would try swapping the Ethernet cable the A7 is using, and also try moving to another port on the Xfinity.

If doing a speed test, wire a computer directly to the A7 LAN ports to see what speeds you get there (turn off Wi-Fi).

@Tony

I will try your suggestions and get back to you. The Xfinity never loses connectivity or signal at all when the Archer requires a reboot.

thank you for your input! Much appreciated.
